Creative Future
Creative Future is a unique not for profit organisation, bridging the gap between the community and professional arts sectors in the South East. It provides talented marginalised* artists and writers opportunities to earn income from their creative work. It gives those excluded by society the change to reintegrate through their own talents by providing training, support, exhibiting and publishing opportunities, selling & promoting their work at the highest levels. Creative Future raise the profile of individual artists/wrtiers and the organisations they access, whilst challenging public stereotypes of marginalised people. The organisation was established by Dominique De-Light and Simon Powell in 2007. Dominique is one ofthe Project Directors responsible for organising and fundraising for the organisation's activities as well as project delivery - including numerous courses, exhibitions and publications throughout the year.

First Base Arts Project
The First Base Arts Project provided creative opportunities to the most marginalised in society. Professional artists ran workshops for homeless and vulnerable adults at the First Base Day Centre in Brighton from 2004-2008. Creative groups included: a one to one advice drop in, writing, photography, art, drama, emceeing, computer arts and film making. An annual anthology was produced, work created was published in The Big Issue magazine, two public exhibitions (in art and photography) were held annually, a CD was recorded, regular newsletters were produced and a screening of films produced by participants was shown as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival. Dominique initiated, successfully fundraised and implemented the project, managing it till February 2008. This included delivering workshops, employing and supervising artists, creating partnerships with local businesses, educational, cultural and voluntary organisations, financial tracking, administering and evaluating the project.
Dominique has successfully raised funds for her projects from the Arts Council, Local Authorities, Awards for All, PCTs, Screen South, voluntary organisations and local businesses.
